Step-by-Step Manual Defrost Process
- Prepare for Defrosting: Remove all food items and store in a cooler with ice packs to maintain temperature.
- Turn Off Refrigerator: Unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet or turn off at the circuit breaker.
- Remove Shelves and Drawers: Take out all removable shelves, drawers, and compartments for easier access.
- Place Water Collection: Put towels and a large bowl/pan at the bottom to collect melting ice water.
- Accelerate Defrosting: Place bowls of hot water inside the freezer compartment to speed up the melting process.
